ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins have signed No. 4 overall pick Trent Williams to a six-year, $60 million contract that includes $36.75 million in guaranteed money.  The signing ends a one-day holdout after Williams missed the first day of camp Thursday.

 ASHBURN, Va. -- Albert Haynesworth has failed his conditioning test for a second consecutive day and is being forced to sit out practice again at Washington Redskinstraining camp. Haynesworth did not pass the test Friday morning, in a repeat of Thursday's result on Day 1 of camp.

Nationals manager Jim Riggleman said thursday morning Stephen Strasburg will miss his next scheduled start this Sunday.  Strasburg was supposed to start Tuesday night against the Braves, however a last minute decision was made to scratch Strasburg from the line up due to a tightness in his shoulder.  Wednesday Nationals General Manager Mike Rizzo said xrays revealed there was no injury and they did not expect Strasburgs shoulder to present a larger problem.  Jim Riggleman said Thursday morning Strasburg would be shut down the next "10 days or so" to give Strasburg a rest.
